Round 21 Packet

The recorded planning discussion and synthesis. Design review is not implementation or empirical validation.

Public edition of a studio document. Proposals and historical observations retain their original status; local paths and operational identifiers are omitted. The final reviewed master plan records later planning corrections; older design explorations remain historical proposals.

R21-MR-01 — “Enter This Moment” Is a Separate Promise From Watching It

A private story draft should first show a preview disclosure:

Based on recorded events: [selected decision/evidence references]
Reconstructed for presentation: dialogue, framing, imagery, timing, or environmental details not preserved in the record
Playable checkpoint: Available / Unavailable / Compatibility not yet verified

Invented imagery must never visually imply that an unrecorded event actually occurred. Where reconstruction materially affects interpretation, label it before viewing rather than burying the qualification afterward.

Sharing: creator separately chooses the exact clip/draft, included attribution, permitted audience/reuse, and any participant material. Another participant’s identifiable/private contribution requires applicable permission; being present in the source event does not automatically authorize publication. Previewing privately authorizes no sharing. There is no silent publish or automatic usage receipt.

Enter this moment: the view/share link and playable invitation are distinct objects. Selecting Enter this moment must disclose which supported checkpoint will be used, what recipient branch it creates/targets, compatibility requirements, and any separately authorized service/compute cost. Recipient explicitly accepts before import/continuation.

If no supported checkpoint exists, the interface says:

This story can be viewed, but this moment is not currently playable.

Do not reconstruct executable history from video frames or generated imagery. If a checkpoint later becomes available, that is a new invitation, not retroactive authority.

Strongest failure: cinematic reconstruction becomes more memorable than the provenance labels, causing viewers to remember invented imagery as historical fact.

Smallest test: deliberately create drafts mixing recorded facts and reconstructed imagery, with available, incompatible, and absent checkpoints. Ask viewers what actually happened, what was reconstructed, and whether viewing authorized continuation/sharing. Any systematic invented-history attribution or belief that a view link guarantees playable entry falsifies the contract.

Round21 preparation — not performed

F-R21-01: private storydraft from selected actualevents first, finalplayer review before export/publication. Media binds specific sourcebranch/eventreferences and distinguishes recordedplay footage from authoredvisualization/AIreconstruction. No invented witnesses, achievements, relationships, or publiccredits. Artistic style can reinterpret appearance if clearly presented; don't falsely claim exacthistoricalrecord.

Default exclude otherplayers privatecontext, realvoice/likeness withoutpermission, credentials, hiddennotes, and outofscopeNPCtestimony. Returnpreview content matches finalrender selectedversion; changing script/assets afterapproval needs newreview for consequentialchange. User can sharetext/image without paidvideo; viralreach notguaranteed.

Playableinvitation target separately declares originalview versus supportedcheckpoint/derivedbranch, contentversion/rights, accessibleentry, recipientrequirements and cost. Publicclip can remainviewable after checkpointunavailable; link shows honestunavailable state, doesn't send to buyunrelatedchapter as if sameinvitation. Gods-eye-view camera URL restores view, not history. Public URLs contain no privatecheckpointdata/credentials; shareable ID with intendedaccess notsecuritybyunpredictability alone.

OneactionPublish can be finalapprovedexternalboundary, but videoexportfile alone notpublish. Receipt identifies actualdestination/version; don't callfailedrenderpublished. Generation costs bounded and optionalfailure doesn'tblockgame.

Test selectedevents→draft→approval→renderedoutput→recipientopenslink→permittednewbranchperformsaction. Check omittedprivatefields, withdrawnparticipantpermission beforepublish, stalecontent/missingasset, canceledgeneration, mismatchclip/checkpoint. Human judges fidelity and emotionaltruth; automatedeventreferences necessary notsufficient. No realmedia produced/published in planning.

Godz2:R21-01 — A story invitation must describe the continuation it actually offers

Proposed flow: A player requests a private draft from selected recorded events. Preview identifies the source life and event boundary, distinguishes recorded decisions from invented dialogue or illustrative imagery, and shows the exact outgoing clip, captions, attribution, and metadata. Reconstruction cannot add canonical testimony or imply an unperformed discovery. Creating or approving the draft does not publish it.

Share separately confirms the audience and permitted material. Another participant’s contribution requires applicable sharing permission; otherwise omit it or keep the draft private. Checkpoint access requires its own authorization covering the receiving audience and selected state. Neither permission silently exposes full notebooks or companion memories.

Beside Enter this moment, disclose: “Start a separate branch from the supported saved point immediately before this decision,” if that is what exists. Identify the actual boundary when it differs from the depicted instant. Entry preserves the source history; it does not place the viewer inside the creator’s active life or confer shared-world standing.

Before loading, show required content, compatibility, reuse terms, and any purchase or service allowance required. Viewing remains distinct from accepting those conditions. No payment or inference dispatch follows merely from opening the clip.

If imagery depicts an impossible camera angle, label it illustrative. If the checkpoint is unavailable, incompatible, or not authorized for this viewer, disable entry with a specific explanation while retaining permitted viewing. Offer an independently labeled ordinary start only where available.

Strongest failure: an emotionally compelling clip sells access to a moment the product cannot reproduce.

Smallest proposed test: use one dummy clip with a valid, denied, and unavailable checkpoint. Ask viewers what was recorded, what was reconstructed, and where entry would begin; then verify the authorized branch’s first meaningful action against its saved boundary. Misleading expectations require revision, even if clicks increase.

Round 21 — A Story Is Not Automatically a Portal

Godz4:R21-01 — Separate representation, publication, and playable access.

Private draft: assemble the clip only from selected recorded events and approved material. Its preview identifies:

  • which canonical events it represents;
  • which imagery/audio is directly reconstructed versus generated/interpreted;
  • participants/material included and applicable visibility permissions;
  • whether an actual supported checkpoint exists;
  • any generation cost/allowance before billable work.

Invented cinematic details—camera angles, weather emphasis, facial expression, transitional imagery—must not silently become historical facts.

Sharing authorization: generating or privately previewing the clip grants no publication permission. Before sharing, show the exact media/caption/audience and obtain explicit approval. Material involving another participant follows their applicable consent; removing their name is insufficient if they remain identifiable.

“Enter this moment” is separately authorized. A shared view link provides media only. Playable access additionally requires the owner/world authority to approve the selected supported checkpoint and the historical/material scope that accompanies it. The recipient sees whether they are entering a copy/fork rather than modifying the source timeline.

If entry/generation consumes paid service, disclose and authorize that independently; watching cannot silently initiate it.

Unavailable checkpoint: never fake reconstruction. Replace the action with something accurate such as “View recorded history” or explain that this moment is not currently playable. A nearby checkpoint may be offered only when clearly identified as different.

Strongest failure: cinematic reconstruction becomes more vivid than the underlying evidence, causing viewers to believe invented presentation is canon—or “Enter” quietly exposes more history than the creator intended.

Smallest test: use clips containing reconstructed, generated, multi-participant, and checkpoint-missing cases. Verify preview understanding, independent sharing/entry permissions, exact checkpoint payload, and graceful non-playable behavior without silent publication or invented history.

Godz3 actualpeercritique F-R21-02: above preparation now adopted as contribution. Prefer Godz2 exact actualsavedboundary e.g.beforedecision not depictedinstant; no immutablepastcontrol. Publicpreview doesn't expose internal sourceIDs/privatecontext merely to explain lineage. 'Recordedhistory' label only for actual record, not generatedclip renamed when checkpointfails. Godz4 'directly reconstructed vs generated' needs clearer capturedgameplay vs illustrative/reconstructedmedia, no imply reconstructionisrecording. Facialexpression/newdialogue can change perceivedintent; label alone may not fix materiallyfalseclaim, edit/remove. Check exactrender aftergeneration notapprove storyboard thenpublish unreviewed output. Recipientdecline/noaccess message should not disclose protectedworldexistence/participantidentity unnecessarily.
