R14-01 — Sell a complete authored arc
Combine R14-MR-01 with Godz4:R14-01: establish a bounded question, offer meaningful investigative approaches, challenge an initial assumption, and show a consequence of the player’s evidence and final commitment.
Before fixing production scope, specify the author-only answer and each supported ending’s evidence limits. Preserve the three-encounter structure, “The Tower Window” title, and sealed-chamber scenario as unadopted creative candidates.
A deliberate refusal can complete an authored arc without awarding an unperformed discovery. Different endings need not establish the same explanation, but uncertainty cannot disguise a withheld purchased resolution.
Supplied equipment permits independent completion. Inheritance adds compatible utility and personal history without becoming an entry requirement.
R14-02 — Define what remains usable
The proposed purchase includes the delivered authored experience, supported local replay, saves, and basic export under declared compatibility terms. Reopening installed, supported purchased content or inspecting existing records requires no subscription.
Optional generation must have disclosed limits and graceful exhaustion; running out cannot strand the authored ending. Ongoing hosting, inference, downloads, and future compatibility require separate, bounded promises.
Player control of permitted history does not transfer copyright in purchased assets. Export remains subject to applicable rights.
R14-03 — Remove the circular repeat-purchase gate
Accept F-R14-01 and GI-R14-XR: actual Chapter 2 purchases cannot be a prerequisite for creating the Chapter 2 offer.
Separate two decisions:
- Bounded second-chapter pilot: Chapter 1 purchases, satisfactory experiences, measured costs, and an explicitly approved experiment budget may justify it. Repeat demand remains unknown.
- Repeatable production cadence: requires evidence from the concrete second offer, including actual repeat purchasing and sustainable production and service economics.
Survey enthusiasm does not substitute for payment. Invent no numerical targets now; establish operational success, revision, and stop criteria after the cost baseline and before evaluating the test.
R14-04 — Separate contribution from profitability
Track net receipts less variable delivery costs separately from recovering authoring, assets, implementation, accessibility, testing, and continuing support obligations. Include founder labor, heavy usage, unfinished runs, refunds, failed generation, and revisions. Avoid double-counting costs or calling positive contribution total profitability.
Remaining uncertainty and next test
First test a complete playable arc without checkout. Distinguish satisfying refusal from confusion, abandonment, technical failure, and perceived paywall.
Later authorized sales tests record offer exposure, purchases, satisfaction, refunds, support, and costs. Measure repeat conversion among eligible buyers actually shown the second offer. Good first-chapter evidence supports another bounded experiment, not an assumed franchise.
Round 15 review question
A generation request reserves allowance, times out after possible provider execution, and the player presses Retry with insufficient unreserved balance: what is blocked, retained, reconciled, and offered so neither duplicate charges nor an unfinishable purchased chapter result?
