R12-01 — Stop presentation; resolve the new instruction
Adopt Godz2:R12-01: in Life A, “Stop—use the instrument” interrupts the hint and creates a separate action proposal. When taking a reading is unambiguous, present:
“Life A: take a reading with this instrument? Confirm / Cancel.”
Otherwise clarify whether the player means inspect, calibrate, or measure. Reject R12-MR-01’s redundant question about stopping an already stopped hint.
Show only the applicable cost. Voice creates no additional practice charge. Confirmation authorizes beginning the supported interaction; it does not award evidence. The player must still perform the required investigation.
R12-02 — Bind authorization to the specific proposal and state
Before confirmation, switching to Life B dismisses A’s proposal. Returning to A does not revive it.
During a confirmed game-state write, resolve persistence under R06 before completing the switch. An uncertain write is neither cancellation nor a refund.
After a verified commit, switching need not wait for remote hint generation or speech cancellation. Those requests cannot act, while unresolved provider costs remain separately accounted for under R11.
Strengthen Godz4:R12-01 and F-R12-01: authorization belongs to the originating life, specific proposal, and relevant state. An A→B→A sequence cannot reactivate an old transcript or delayed “confirm.” Changed prerequisites invalidate the proposal; review the changed action instead of silently substituting one.
R12-03 — Preserve accessible control without pretending sensory equivalence
Keep Stop hint and Stop listening distinct. Processing the second clause cannot silently reopen capture the player stopped. Provide button or keyboard controls alongside voice.
Stop adding canceled hint content, but retain already displayed captions. Reject retroactive text erasure and claims to know precisely which words the player heard. Equivalent access means equivalent actions, evidence, and untimed progression—not identical reading and listening speeds.
Retain the low-impact navigation exception: not every utterance needs confirmation. Consequential or ambiguous instructions require appropriate resolution. Raw audio does not become permanent memory by default; the full transcription, reasoning, and speech path remains subject to R11.
Remaining uncertainty and proposed test
The central risk is stale authorization becoming valid again, even in the correct life.
With scripted controls and mocked callbacks, interrupt around proposal, confirmation, persistence, and acknowledgment. Exercise A→B→A, changed instrument state, delayed confirmations, duplicate commands, and uncertain writes.
Verify no unapproved transition, fabricated finding, duplicate commitment, resumed canceled output, or cross-life mutation. Check preserved captions and text/assistive completion separately. Real recognition, audible-stop latency, provider cancellation, and charges remain unmeasured.
