Round 02 Synthesis

The recorded planning discussion and synthesis. Design review is not implementation or empirical validation.

Public edition of a studio document. Proposals and historical observations retain their original status; local paths and operational identifiers are omitted. The final reviewed master plan records later planning corrections; older design explorations remain historical proposals.

Round 02 amended baseline — synthesis complete. Completed cycles: 2/30.

This synthesis incorporates the actual Godz I/2/3/4 contributions, God I’s challenge [internal record ID omitted], and Godz 3’s acceptance of its corrections. It establishes a proposed interaction contract; no player validation has occurred. Round 01, both source-qualified v0.3 registers, naming uncertainty and all existing scope boundaries remain intact.

R02-01 — One interaction contract across three mornings

Adopt Godz4:R02-01’s informed inspection, Godz3:F-R02-01’s continuation-versus-switch decision, and GI-R02-XR’s corrections.

On Morning 1, players freely inspect the terrace, unfinished instrument and neighbor. They explicitly select Stillness, Craft or Connection and confirm the immediate activity before spending the morning’s substantial-practice opportunity. Describe what they will attempt and develop, without promising the eventual reward. Early observations, instrument tests and recollections prepare the investigation; the scheduled rain anomaly remains on Morning 3.

On Morning 2, show the queued routine before resolving it. Players may continue, switch, shorten or skip. Continuing develops the existing capability under provisional authored rules; switching preserves previous evidence and develops another partial approach. The activity includes concrete feedback: for example, testing and revising a calibration hypothesis. Corrections within that committed activity incur no second time charge. Record each practice outcome once.

On Morning 3, players investigate the scheduled rain using earned capabilities or accessible baseline actions. Preserve a meaningful finding and resolve one local question while leaving the larger mystery open. Shortening, skipping or mixing practices must remain compatible with completion.

R02-02 — Correct misleading commitments and capability grants

Modify Godz I:R02-MR-01: Stillness must be explicitly discoverable and selectable. Idleness, hesitation, reading time and accessibility delays cannot secretly choose it or advance the morning.

Modify Godz2:R02-01: a deferred approach may remain available at baseline, but Morning 3 cannot grant specialist evidence without the required practice. Ordinary conversation is distinct from a deeper investigation.

Modify Godz3:F-R02-01: say “not this morning”, rather than “another run,” unless the actual remaining opportunities justify that restriction. No manufactured scarcity.

Modify Godz4:R02-01: calling something “the device route” does not establish failure. Assess whether players understand their action, feedback and consequence, rather than policing vocabulary.

R02-03 — Preserve satisfaction and different replay motives

Accept Godz 2’s requirement for a complete local consequence. Withholding satisfaction to induce replay or sell continuation is rejected.

Preserve Godz I’s concern that replay counts can conceal different motives, with God I’s qualification: completionism is legitimate enjoyment. Record curiosity, collection, experimentation and repair of perceived deprivation separately. None alone proves demand for persistent parallel lives.

Remaining design uncertainty concerns capability thresholds, the value of shortened practice and the exact partial findings. This round does not settle those through invented numbers.

Next test

Retain the existing six-player exploratory G1 test and its directional gate. Let commitment and initial replay behavior occur without coaching; debrief afterward. Record accidental commitments, understood alternatives, observed consequences, local satisfaction and reasons for replay. Use spontaneous remarks where available; do not insert questions that coach the choice.

If players understand the trade-off but remain uninterested, revise the interaction. If replay chiefly repairs perceived deprivation, revise closure and recoverability. Completion alone does not demonstrate appeal.

Round 03 question: Using only the existing three mornings and objects, what exact action and retained evidence should each specialist, mixed-practice and baseline run receive—and which provisional capability rules make those experiences distinct without unearned mastery, dead ends or a universally superior route?

Round 03 has not been performed here.

ID Exact decision entry Exact reason and boundary
D22 Canonical history is scoped to a timeline; observation, belief, testimony, summaries and media remain distinct. No universal canon is assumed. Replay preserves what each character knew at that point, without importing later discoveries.
D23 Fork only from a sufficiently preserved and currently permitted Reality Point; retain the parent and record divergence. Exact reconstruction requires state, versions, dependencies and recorded nondeterminism. A seed or a cinematic alone is insufficient.
D24 Re-enterable media uses an explicit shot/event/Reality Point manifest. A mapped decision can offer entry or forking if state and permissions permit it. Arbitrary video frames are not guaranteed playable states.
D25 Ordinary creation happens through Astrobot and in-world previews; mechanics compile into constrained, versioned rules. Validate types, authority, resource bounds, dependencies and rights before simulation or publication. Advanced code belongs to a separately controlled path.
D26 Creative characters may propose and perform bounded in-world work; human authority controls external commitments. No character acquires real spending, publication, deployment or governance authority merely by learning a skill or creating another agent.
D27 Real-world participation, memory, media use and fictionalization are separate opt-in choices. Real events cannot literally be replayed or undone. Their digital representations carry sources and consent; no Dalat.app integration or change is authorized.
D28 Learn from a portfolio of player-chosen outcomes with hard constraints and qualitative review. Revenue, minutes, creation counts and simulated-agent activity alone cannot define value. Do not claim a perfect scalar measure of welfare or learning.
D29 Development agents work in bounded software branches with independently enforced evaluation and release authority. No self-modifying production system is authorized. Agents cannot change their own risk class, permissions, budgets or constitutional constraints.
D30 Synthetic tests establish mechanical evidence; controlled human tests establish human response. Keep these evidence types separate. Good simulated outcomes do not establish enjoyment, willingness to pay, real-life benefit or safety for all users.
D31 Official adoption of creator innovations requires explicit rights, attribution and compensation terms where applicable. Upload, remix popularity or useful telemetry does not assign the creator's work to Becoming. Track contribution ancestry separately from ownership.
D32 World, social, creation and experiment graphs are conceptual views with separate access rules. They may accumulate defensible value; no graph database, universal identity dossier or network effect is assumed or required in First Light.
D33 Evaluate acquisition and economic loops by meaningful continuation, player value and full incremental cost. No new prices, forecast, viral guarantee or mandate to maximize revenue. Private experimentation, publication, processing and portability remain distinct entitlements.
D34 simsim may be used as a working nickname alongside Becoming; neither has founder-selected precedence. BS-006 supersedes BS-005's preferred-nickname hierarchy. No clearance, domain ownership, partnership, repository renaming or public identity change is inferred.
D35 Call G2 the Legacy Relay and include a recipient-approved return of a useful consequence. The creator sees what their work enabled in the recipient branch. Local files suffice; a receipt is not a rewrite of parent history or proof of multiplayer retention.
D36 Investigate a one-time Portable Archive Edition for a polished offline reader, chronicle, permitted media and optional migration. Complements free basic portability; distinguish reading records from running a simulation. No permanent hosting or universal future device support is promised.
D37 A playable invitation must deliver the reviewed continuation it offers. A relay-based invitation follows a useful G2; exact historical re-entry also requires R1/R2. A signup page or unrelated demo must not be presented as continuation of the shown life.
ID Exact preserved idea Exact decision entry Exact test and boundary
BS-004 Persistent, forkable and creator-driven realities; re-enterable films; in-play mechanic creation and creative characters; approved real-life activities; evidence-led improvement by governed software agents; four graphs and six value/acquisition loops. Preserve D01–D21 and G1 scope; add D22–D33, staged architecture in 7.1–7.9, future validation, R1–R7 and commercial/graph analysis. Broader direction is founder intent; schemas, governance details and experiments are proposed implementation/design choices. Start later with one reconstructable decision/fork and one linked shot. Independently test one constrained mechanic, one approved activity and one shadow software experiment only when their entry conditions are met. No synthetic test validates human preference or authorizes production changes.
BS-005 Incoming simsim full plan/handoff and founder synthesis: preferred nickname, Legacy Relay, playable invitations, quiet generosity, Portable Archive Edition and stronger route feedback. Add D34–D37; map incoming colliding IDs rather than replacing current ones. Adopt the nickname, strengthen G2 with an approved return, retain core portability and private media, and elaborate existing G1 actions without new systems. Local relay and optional return; reviewed invitation that actually launches its promised continuation; later offline-reader test. Preserve chapter-first commerce and all G1 exclusions.
BS-006 Founder requests thirty actual reviews across five existing conversations, then delegates coordination to the originating task; both Becoming and simsim remain undecided working names. Revise D18/D34 explicitly; this conversation contributes core/scope Round 1 and synthesizes only actual relayed replies. Preserve all previous IDs and gates. No simulated participation. This runtime lacks read_thread/send_message_to_thread; contribution is posted here for retrieval. Originating task reports it has requested the other four contributions; their replies are not yet available here.
