ROUND17 actual packet.16/30complete. Circle absence/payerexit scenario.

Godz I Response [internal record ID omitted]
### R17-MR-01 — Participation, Funding, and Governance Stay Separate

Three players—A, B, C—accepted the Circle rule that a shared consequential decision resolves only after each required participant either acts or explicitly chooses an allowed abstention.

During the unresolved decision, **B becomes absent**. Absence itself supplies no vote, abstention, delegation, or consent. The shared decision pauses. A and C may inspect their permitted evidence, discuss, save, leave, or continue unrelated/private branch activity where that cannot alter the paused shared state. They cannot manufacture B's choice.

Now **A, who funds hosting, wants to leave**. A may record their own permitted decision/abstention before departure if the Circle rules allow it, then leave. Paying for hosting grants no authority to cast B/C's choices, change the accepted decision rule, seize artifacts, or determine canonical outcome.

Funding and service continuation are separate. Ending A's funding triggers the hosting arrangement's previously disclosed **service-grace/exit process**, not an immediate world deletion and not indefinite free hosting. During grace, participants can arrange replacement funding, supported migration, or closure. No countdown resolves the paused gameplay decision; any service end date concerns hosting availability only.

Before supported closure, each participant can export material they are already permitted to export under existing provenance/privacy rules. Shared material requires whatever export permission was established; private participant data does not become A's property because A paid.

If hosting ends unresolved, preserve the last verified shared state in whatever supported archive/checkpoint promise applies. Do not fabricate an outcome.

**Strongest failure:** players interpret “the payer can stop paying” as either payer sovereignty or an entitlement to perpetual subsidized access.

**Smallest test:** script B's absence and A's funding exit at several decision stages. Ask each participant what they can decide, export, and control. Verify zero inferred B consent, zero payer override, no countdown-based outcome, preserved verified state, and a bounded hosting exit that neither destroys permitted history immediately nor promises free continuation forever.

**Godz2:R17-01 — Leaving funding must not decide the encounter**

Assume the accepted turn rules require all three participants’ readiness for this shared decision. When one becomes absent, pause that decision and any dependent shared progression. The two present players may inspect evidence they are entitled to see, discuss options and revise uncommitted proposals. They cannot cast the missing turn, infer consent from silence or substitute an AI participant without previously accepted authorization.

The hosting payer may leave play and stop future funding under the disclosed service terms. Payment grants no extra vote, ownership of others’ histories or right to resolve the encounter. Their departure cannot erase committed contributions. A remaining participant may voluntarily fund continuation; that changes the billing arrangement, not governance or access permissions.

Distinguish **paused gameplay** from **expiring hosting**. Before invitations are accepted, disclose the funded service period, any funded grace period, and what happens afterward. At service expiry, suspend execution according to those terms; do not turn the deadline into an in-world loss or automatic decision. No indefinite free hosting is promised.

Before shutdown, provide the agreed export opportunity: each participant receives their permitted personal records and authorized shared material, excluding others’ private notes and credentials. A jointly permitted supported checkpoint may enable later resumption, subject to compatibility and funding. An individual continuation, where the accepted rules and permissions allow it, is a separately identified branch; its outcomes do not become shared history.

**Strongest failure:** the payer can effectively coerce a vote by threatening immediate loss of everyone’s work. Fund the disclosed exit process before offering hosting.

**Proposed test:** rehearse absence, payer departure, replacement funding and service expiry with dummy records. Verify no fabricated readiness, unauthorized export or canonical advancement; ask every participant what remains accessible and who can resume. These are later-Circle proposals, not tested service guarantees.

### Round 17 — Funding Keeps the Service Running, Not the World Governed

**Godz4:R17-01 — Shared canon pauses; participation remains voluntary.**

Three participants A/B/C accepted Circle turn rules. During an unresolved shared decision, **C becomes absent without delegating authority** and **A, the hosting payer, chooses to leave**.

**Shared timeline:** pause before resolving the decision. C's absence is not consent to abstain, delegate, or accept another player's choice. No countdown converts silence into authorization.

**A may leave immediately.** Paying for hosting gives A no authority to resolve the decision, remove B/C's histories, seize shared artifacts, or dictate the ending. A's already-authorized contributions remain historical facts.

**B may:** inspect existing permitted shared history, prepare a nonbinding proposal, or create a clearly separate private branch/checkpoint where permitted. That branch cannot silently become shared canon when C returns.

**C returns:** resume from the same unresolved shared state and participate under the accepted rules. No catch-up progression occurred.

**Funding:** A's departure/cancellation stops future billing under the service terms but does not retroactively erase paid service. Define a disclosed finite grace/retention period allowing participants to resume, arrange new funding voluntarily, or export permitted material. No participant is automatically charged or made host. After the declared service period, hosted operation may stop; history remains subject to the established portability promises rather than indefinite free hosting.

**Exports:** each participant can export their permitted personal history plus shared material they are authorized to retain. Other participants' private companion context is excluded. Shared provenance remains attributed.

**Strongest failure:** “host” quietly becomes synonymous with owner/governor because billing controls technical access.

**Smallest test:** simulate payer departure at every unresolved-decision boundary plus silent participant absence. Verify zero automatic shared advancement, zero payer override, no involuntary billing, private branches never overwrite shared canon, and every participant can understand what remains accessible/exportable and when hosted service actually ends.
# Round 17 — Godz 3 actual review

F-R17-01: small Circle tests coordinated play among2–3people after actual inheritance evidence; no persistent world or marketplace assumed. Invite states scenario, participants/visibility, expected session rhythm, shared decisions, paid/service responsibility and exit. Accepting invite does not consent to publication or full private-memory sharing.

Use agreed turns and ready checks; absence does not advance another's private life or imply consent to irreversible shared action. Define inactivity path before session: pause, continue individually on separate branch, or proceed only with preauthorized limited actions. No endless dependence on one player's return and no guilt notifications. Asymmetric participation can still be meaningful if authored fallback keeps personal closure.

Payer funds service only. Separate hosting account/billing authority from world governance/participant data. Payer departure stops future unpaid hosting under announced grace/exit terms, not grants permission to erase others' allowed records or rewrite canon. Transfer hosting only with successor's explicit cost approval; never charge remaining members by default. Sharedworld export must respect each participant's permitted facts and privacy, not give payer everybody's conversations.

Governance initial simplest: explicit named decision rule for a bounded encounter, visible proposed action and affected state, clear authority to commit and rollback policy for software errors. No automatic economic privilege from purchased AI. Disagreement may fork private histories without silently updating sharedcanon.

Test oneinvite decline, unequal activity, late join, interrupted readycheck, payerexit, storagecost exhausted, participant asks privatehistory removal. Observe burden, confusion, coercion and whether enjoyable sharedchoice survives. Technical success and attendance alone don't establish repeatgroup demand.

Peercritique: all3 assume unanimityreadiness for scenario, not mandatory everyfutureCircle. Explicit accepted delegation/abstention rules may exist; never infer from absence. Godz4 returningC automaticallyresume only if fundedservice and requiredparticipants available; currentauthority must validate, don't revive staleproposal. PlayerA can leaveplay immediately but billingcancellation follows disclosed purchasedperiod/contract, no promise erase alreadyincurredcost. Fund export/gracebefore sellinghosting; export uses permission-filtered snapshot at verifiedboundary, not allsharedrawdata. Joiningnewpayer doesn't grant admincontrol/privacyrights; authorizedservicetransfer separately. Departed participant prioraccepted action remains but currentrequiredreadycheck not assumed stillvalid. Need clarify partialcommit at fundingexpiry using R06sameoperation outcome without new decisions.
