Godz I Response [internal record ID omitted]
### R14-MR-01 — A Paid Chapter Must Feel Complete, Not Rented

**Proposed creative chapter arc:** after free First Light and optional G2 Relay, the first paid chapter begins with the player's established life arriving at the **already-established tower investigation context**. The inherited/local evidence matters, but is not required. The chapter presents one bounded problem: several plausible ways to investigate the tower evidence, a consequential choice about which approach to develop, a complication that makes the initial assumption insufficient, and a final player-performed investigation producing a **complete local finding plus one meaningful consequence**. The chapter ends because its question was answered—not because payment ran out. Exact fiction remains authoring work; this is structure, not new canon.

**After completion:** the purchased chapter remains locally replayable under its declared compatibility/support terms. Its save, permitted history, artifacts, and basic export remain accessible. No subscription is required merely to reopen purchased content or inspect one's history. Future cloud inference, hosted services, or unsupported future runtimes are separate services, not retroactive access conditions.

**Evidence ladder before another chapter:** distinguish:

1. attempted purchases / completed purchases;
2. satisfactory chapter completion;
3. voluntary replay or continuation;
4. expressed interest in another chapter;
5. **actual repeat purchase when offered**.

Do not treat survey enthusiasm as revenue evidence.

Track production economics separately from runtime economics: authored/design/QA/accessibility labor and assets versus inference, generation, support, storage, payment overhead, failures/refunds, and ongoing compatibility burden. Calculate contribution margin using actual typical and heavy usage—not optimistic average inference assumptions.

**Strongest failure:** chapter one sells because First Light created curiosity, but players feel the paid experience merely postpones resolution to sell chapter two.

**Decision test:** authorize another chapter only if purchasers generally experience complete local closure, meaningful continuation interest converts into repeat purchasing, and measured production + operating costs support a sustainable contribution margin without degrading free G1 or holding history hostage.

Godz 2 Response [internal record ID omitted]
**Godz2:R14-01 — Sell a complete investigation, then earn demand for another**

**Creative arc proposal:** a bounded chapter expands the tower investigation into three authored encounters: establish a reference reading, choose which conflicting explanation to investigate, then perform a comparison that answers the chapter’s stated local question. Different approaches produce distinct evidence and interpretations, while every supported route reaches a satisfying conclusion. The final notebook records what the player established and leaves further exploration optional. Exact fiction remains subject to authoring review.

A player can begin with supplied equipment; G2’s optional inherited relic offers compatible utility and personal history without becoming an entry requirement. First Light remains free and complete.

The purchase would include the authored chapter, its supported local runtime, replay within that release, saves and basic export. Installed supported content and recorded history remain usable without a subscription. State tested environments and update/support boundaries before purchase; promise neither perpetual compatibility nor indefinite downloads. Any optional hosted generation needs a separately disclosed allowance and exhaustion behavior. It cannot gate the purchased ending or access to existing records.

**Evidence ladder:** first test offer comprehension and complete-chapter enjoyment. Later, when sales are authorized, measure actual purchases against qualified people shown the offer, including refunds. Track satisfactory completion separately from abandonment and technical failure. Test repeat purchase only with a concrete second chapter; stated interest and replay are weaker evidence.

Account separately for writing, branching, art, accessibility, testing and revisions versus per-player hosting, generation, failed requests, support and payment costs. Include heavy usage and unfinished runs.

**Strongest failure:** chapters require bespoke production effort that revenue cannot sustain. Another chapter is justified by converging demand, satisfaction, repeat-purchase and contribution-margin evidence, with a credible path to recovering production costs—not completion rates alone. All offers and tests remain proposals; no price or sales authorization is assumed.

### Round 14 — Sell a Complete Memory, Not Access to Continuation

**Godz4:R14-01 — Proposed first paid chapter: “The Tower Window.”**

After free G1 and optional local G2 Relay, the first paid chapter should deliver one **complete authored arc**, not merely more simulation time.

**Proposed creative arc:** the character follows the unresolved tower lead. Across a bounded sequence of authored beats, they must decide **which prior evidence to trust enough to act on**, make one meaningful commitment that closes another possibility, investigate the tower observation window, and create/alter one durable artifact whose consequence becomes visible before the chapter ends. The chapter resolves its immediate question while leaving the broader world open. This is a proposal, not established canon.

**After completion, the buyer keeps:** their chapter history, evidence, authored outcomes, artifacts/provenance, readable record, and supported basic export. Cancellation or refusal to buy anything else cannot erase the completed life. Replay of purchased authored content should remain available under clearly stated product/support terms; ongoing AI inference, hosting, generated media, or indefinite compatibility are **not implicitly included**.

Before any sale, define exactly what services the chapter uses and any bounded processing allowance. Exhausting optional generation cannot make the purchased authored arc unfinishable.

**Evidence ladder for Chapter 2:** record actual purchase → meaningful start → satisfactory completion → voluntary interest in another chapter → actual second purchase. Keep these separate; stated willingness is weaker than payment.

Track **production cost** separately: writing, design, art/audio, implementation, QA/accessibility.

Track **operating cost** separately: inference/media, storage/hosting if applicable, payment/refunds, support/moderation.

**Strongest failure:** players buy because First Light intrigued them but finish feeling they purchased an extended teaser.

**Decision test:** another chapter is justified only if enough real buyers complete this one satisfactorily, some voluntarily purchase another, and measured contribution economics plus production effort support repeating the process. No threshold should be invented before evidence exists.
# Round 14 — Godz 3 actual review

F-R14-01: first paid offer should be a bounded authored chapter with a complete local arc and explicit included experience, contingent on actual G1/G2 evidence. No subscription needed to preserve memory, complete purchased story, export baseline records, or access already-paid local chapter. Richer companion/service use, if included, needs named allowance and supported graceful exhaustion rather than unbounded promise.

Concrete creative candidate, not source canon: a follow-up tower chapter asks which of two observation paths can safely reveal a sealed chamber's purpose. The player prepares one approach, gathers inspectable evidence, chooses how to open or leave the chamber, and gets a complete local explanation plus a chosen record/tool. Solitary closure and declining to open remain authored endings, not failure or withheld purchase bait. This candidate needs narrative and scope review; do not silently adopt its chamber fiction over the existing source. Useful inheritance may personalize an approach but stock support permits independent completion. Specify actual encounters/duration only after prototype evidence.

Sell delivered scope, not funding disguised as playable content. Before checkout show what exists, expected experience supported by tests, runtime/device requirements, offline/service dependencies, future updates/support boundaries, and total price. No fictional donation or save-your-companion coercion. Avoid pricing recommendation without current cost/demand evidence.

Observation ladder: finish free chapter, voluntarily choose another authored arc, inspect concrete paid offer, actual purchase when deliverable ready/authorized, complete, voluntarily buy another separate chapter. These distinguish curiosity, conversion, satisfaction and repeat demand; no recurring revenue inferred from stated willingness to pay.

Chapter cost includes authoring/edit/review, assets/rights, QA/accessibility/localization, distribution/support and any inference/media allowance. Amortize content over realistic buyers; include failed generation/revision attempts. Founder labor is not zero cost. Compare contribution per purchase and production throughput, not gross revenue alone.

Proposed test: one playable bounded chapter for intended players with transparent price, recording decline reasons, completion and support needs. Purchase tests require future delivered offer and authorization; no checkout in this planning cycle. If replay is weak, improve play before billing tiers.

Peer critique: all three imply actual secondpurchase required to authorize creating chapter2, a circular gate. Distinguish bounded secondchapter pilot justified by firstpurchase/satisfaction/cost plus explicit budget, from scale/cadence justified after repeatpurchase. Godz4 'no threshold before evidence' should avoid invented numbers now but predeclare operational criterion before test after costbaseline, preventing posthoc success. My sealedchamber candidate is optional creative proposal; prefer source-aligned localquestion authoring rather than adopting newcosmology. Godz2 threeencounters is testable scope candidate not confirmed production count. Completion metric cannot punish satisfying intentionally early/decline ending. Eventual historical record userowns != copyright ownership of purchased assets; permitted export only.
