ROUND13 actual packet.12/30complete. Shared paid reasoning fairness actual disagreement.

### R13-MR-01 — Premium May Think Better Privately, Not Reveal Exclusive Shared Answers

In a Circle encounter, suppose both players observe the same limited evidence and must decide which investigation to pursue before a shared opportunity closes.

The **baseline companion** must provide, on request: a faithful summary of evidence the player has access to, clarification of available actions and known consequences/costs, and at least one non-strategic hint that prevents interface or comprehension difficulty from becoming competitive disadvantage.

A **paid reasoning companion** may privately:

- organize the player's existing evidence more deeply,
- generate hypotheses,
- compare trade-offs,
- challenge the player's reasoning,
- recommend an action and explain uncertainty.

But it may **not receive privileged canonical information**, hidden outcomes, other players' private state, or developer-only causal truth. Nor should the official paid service advertise superior odds of capturing scarce shared rewards while simultaneously calling the environment fair.

The important boundary is **private analytical quality versus privileged information**. Yet even without privileged information, stronger analysis can create purchased strategic advantage when shared consequences are scarce or irreversible.

**Strongest failure:** we technically preserve identical evidence but monetize an optimizer so effective that Circle becomes de facto pay-to-win.

**Matched test:** replay the same authored Circle states across baseline and premium assistance, counterbalancing players and condition order. Record what information each assistant surfaces, recommendations made, decisions selected, scarce/shared outcomes captured, and confidence calibration. Repeat across several decision types rather than one puzzle.

If premium users systematically obtain materially better shared outcomes because the official assistant identifies strategically useful patterns earlier, identical rules are insufficient. Either narrow premium assistance during consequential shared decisions, provide equivalent baseline strategic help there, or stop claiming competitive fairness.

Private/single-player worlds can tolerate a much wider premium reasoning gap because another player's opportunity is not being displaced.

Godz 2 Response [internal record ID omitted]
**Godz2:R13-01 — Shared investigation needs a common assistance boundary**

Suppose premium reasoning recognizes that two readings suggest a useful interval before the other player notices. In Circle, that is strategic assistance if it enables an earlier measurement, preserves a scarce observation opportunity, or influences a shared decision. Identical action rules do not remove the purchased advantage.

The paid companion may adjust wording, narration or presentation within the encounter’s permitted information boundary. It must not privately reveal the interval, recommend the advantageous measurement, or indirectly signal it through emphasis while the offer claims fair shared assistance. Calling a recommendation “personalization” does not change its effect.

Baseline help should include accessible controls, explanations of available actions and costs, and a freely available hint sequence using the same eligible shared evidence. If identifying the interval belongs in that sequence, all participants must be able to request it at the same encounter state. Free availability is necessary but insufficient: automatic premium delivery can still create an earlier advantage.

Private experimentation may offer stronger paid reasoning with clear disclosure. Its conclusions cannot automatically become verified shared evidence; nevertheless, players can remember advice. Therefore, **do not promise equal knowledge**, or treat private-mode labeling as permission to sell official assistance targeting an active Circle encounter.

**Smallest proposed matched test:** assign comparable players to equivalent encounter instances with baseline versus premium assistance, matching starting evidence, familiarity and opportunity budgets. Record when the pattern becomes actionable, recommended choices, opportunities consumed and shared outcomes—not merely final completion. Separately inspect both outputs for exclusive clues.

**Strongest failure:** premium prose consistently guides better decisions while being marketed as cosmetic. A repeatable advantage requires restricting the offer or changing its fairness claim and shared-play arrangement. Monetize presentation or hosting only where testing supports the claimed boundary. These remain untested later-Circle proposals.

### Round 13 — Premium Expression, Not Exclusive Evidence

**Godz4:R13-01 — Paid reasoning may deepen private interpretation, not privately unlock shared strategic facts.**

Scenario: two Circle players examine the same recurring pattern before deciding how to use a shared, limited investigation opportunity.

**Baseline companion must provide**, on request, the observations both players legitimately possess, available actions, applicable costs/consequences, accessible hints needed to understand those actions, and clarification of recorded evidence. A free player cannot be deliberately left unable to recognize a strategically relevant pattern that the official paid companion simply reveals.

**Paid reasoning may:** organize the player's own permitted history more deeply, compare their prior private experiences, explain uncertainty in greater detail, brainstorm hypotheses, improve narration, or help the player reason through alternatives.

It may say:

> “Your previous observations make me consider X. That's a hypothesis, not additional evidence.”

It must not say:

> “Choose the eastern route; the hidden pattern means it will succeed,”

when that strategically useful inference is unavailable through baseline play and affects shared scarcity/consequences.

Private experimentation without shared competitive consequences can tolerate much greater paid reasoning differences.

**Strongest failure:** identical rules disguise an information market where paying players systematically make better shared decisions, turning premium intelligence into de facto power.

**Matched test:** give comparable participants identical shared state/evidence and the same decision, varying only baseline versus premium official assistance. Record every fact/hypothesis revealed, action considered, final decision, resource use, and resulting consequence across repeated scenarios.

Falsification is not merely different choices. The fairness claim fails if premium assistance **systematically exposes strategically useful information or recommendations unavailable through baseline assistance and materially improves shared outcomes**. If premium mainly improves explanation, confidence, personalization, or convenience without exclusive actionable evidence, the boundary survives.
# Round 13 — Godz 3 actual review

F-R13-01: classify by consequence, not price label. In private unranked fiction, player-selected reasoning/hints may change difficulty under disclosed assist settings without pretending equal challenge. In a shared encounter, faster synthesis or strategic recommendations can advantage scarce claims even if no stats are sold. Shared evidence availability does not equal equivalent practical access.

G1 baseline scripted hints and accessible presentation remain available; optional paid narration must not hide required evidence or finish an unperformed investigation. For a later consequential shared mode, preserve a free baseline explanation/action interface and constrain official premium assistance from exclusive evidence, automated privileged actions, earlier facts, or extra simulation turns. If reasoning quality still materially changes outcomes, avoid selling competitive fairness; choose cooperative/no-scarcity design or mode-specific assistance restrictions.

Cannot police all external models or private human advice; be explicit about official-system guarantees rather than promising no outside assistance. Detection of assisted play risks privacy and false accusation; not prerequisite for prototype. Paying host buys service, not world authority or canon edits.

Directional experiment identical scenario/rules/facts and matched participant familiarity, baseline vs enhanced reasoning. Observe strategy quality, time-to-decision, errors, claim opportunity, subjective pressure and enjoyment, including assistive access needs. Separate cosmetic wording from actionable recommendations. Small results do not certify global fairness. If paid assistance creates sustained scarce advantage, revise mode/offer before marketing fairness, not hide under 'same rules'.

Commercial alternative hypothesis: charge for authored chapters, rendering/hosting within bounded service, or private companion customization instead of superior shared-world strategic assistance. These still require actual demand/cost tests later.

Peer critique: GodzI permits paid recommendations inCircle; Godz2 restricts actionable inference even same evidence. Preserve as real disagreement; prefer conservative official baseline boundary until studied. Godz4 criterion 'unavailable through baseline' too weak: on-demand free hint vs proactive paid suggestion can change outcomes. Better explanation/confidence/convenience can be strategic, so not automatically cosmetic. A cooperativeCircle can still have unequal decisionpower or attention without prizes; don't declare no-scarcity instantly fair. Existing player skill/external advice differences mean test effect of official paid assistance, not enforce impossible equalknowledge. Do not reveal otherplayers private evidence to equalize.
