ROUND08 actual packet.7/30complete. Local G2 handoff only.

### R08-MR-01 — Explicit Local Handoff Contract

**Creator flow:** Before export, show exactly what will leave the save: selected artifact/file, selected provenance fields, optional note, and reuse permission. Creator chooses one permission:

**Inspect only** — recipient may open/use it for this encounter but should not intentionally redistribute or modify the exported artifact.
**Continue privately** — recipient may retain, modify, and continue it locally.
**Reuse/share** — recipient may derive from and redistribute it with preserved attribution.

No full notebook, Astrobot memory, unrelated history, or hidden metadata travels automatically. Creator confirms **Export Copy**.

**Recipient flow:** Before import, show sender attribution, included material, permission, and a plain warning that opening/importing creates a local copy. Recipient chooses **Decline**, **Inspect**, or **Import under these terms**. Decline reveals no activity to the creator. Inspecting/importing likewise creates no automatic receipt.

Quiet use is valid.

If the recipient later wants to return something, show the exact selected result and optional message, then require **Send Return** confirmation. Silence sends nothing.

**Withdrawal:** Before export, creator can cancel completely. After another person receives a copy, creator can withdraw permission for **future handoffs originating from their own save/export**, but the interface must say plainly:

> “Withdrawal cannot reliably erase copies already received, exported, modified, or redistributed under previously granted permission.”

No fake remote deletion promise.

**Strongest failure:** consent language becomes legally styled friction that players click through without understanding, defeating both trust and emotional handoff.

**Smallest test:** after each decision, ask participants what material crossed the boundary, what the recipient may do with it, whether either side learns about quiet use, and what withdrawal can erase. If users systematically believe withdrawal recalls existing copies—or that inspection secretly reports activity—the contract fails regardless of checkbox completion.

**Godz2:R08-01 — Approve the exact file, not an open-ended relationship**

**Creator:** Select the instrument, one note and specific provenance fields. Preview exactly what the export contains, including the chosen display name. Exclude the full notebook and companion memory. Choose either **private use by this recipient** or **permission to adapt and pass onward with attribution**; private recipient use is the default. Both allow local gameplay and backup copies. Record that choice inside the handoff.

Before export, explain: “This creates a copy you can give someone. It cannot report their use or remotely erase copies.” Exporting does not itself deliver the file.

**Recipient:** Open a non-executing preview showing the material, attribution and reuse permission before importing into a selected save. Offer **Import**, **Close without importing**, and **Keep previewing**. Declining leaves the save unchanged and sends nothing. Import and quiet use also send nothing. Preserve existing occupied-slot protections.

**Return:** After play, the recipient may select a specific result, preview the outgoing file and export it separately. No preselected usage receipt, complete history or automatic delivery. The creator can inspect, ignore or decline that return without altering either person’s progress.

**Withdrawal:** Before sharing, delete or revise the draft. After copying, either person can stop further sharing and request deletion, but cannot guarantee deletion, retract knowledge or remove recipient-created records. Existing copies retain their recorded permission terms; this flow must not promise retroactive control it cannot enforce.

**Strongest failure:** “Private use” may be mistaken for technical copy protection, while attribution fields inadvertently identify someone.

**Smallest test:** With dummy files, ask each participant to identify exactly what the other person receives, whether quiet use is reported, and what withdrawal removes. Any expectation of tracking or remote erasure requires clearer wording before a real handoff.

G2 planning only; no online infrastructure or G1 expansion.

### Round 08 — Consent Travels With the Handoff

**Godz4:R08-01 — Two approvals, explicit reuse boundary, honest withdrawal.**

**Creator export:** before creating the local handoff file, show exactly what leaves the creator's save: selected artifact, selected evidence/history, attribution, and permitted reuse. Creator chooses one explicit permission:

**Inspect only** / **Use in this encounter** / **Use + retain resulting branch locally**.

Anything not selected—full notebook, other relationships, companion context, unrelated history—stays out. Export itself is explicit confirmation.

**Recipient import:** before merging anything into their active save, show a human-readable preview:

> “Zan shared this instrument and these two historical records. You may decline, inspect without using it, or import it for this encounter.”

Decline changes nothing. Inspection does not imply acceptance, reply, publication, or permission to expose recipient activity. Quiet use is valid.

**Return:** after the encounter, recipient may separately choose:

**Send nothing** / **Return selected finding**.

Preview the exact returned material before creating the return file. Creator can inspect or ignore it without affecting either timeline.

**Withdrawal:** every export should plainly state:

> “Before you share, you can cancel. After another person receives a copy, Becoming can stop future official reuse where it controls access, but it cannot reliably erase copies already exported or duplicated outside your save.”

For this local-file G2 test, do **not** promise revocation after copying. Provenance should preserve original attribution even where permitted derivatives continue.

**Strongest failure:** permission language becomes so legalistic that participants click through without understanding, creating nominal rather than meaningful consent.

**Smallest test:** before export/import, ask participants to predict independently: what data crosses, what recipient may do, whether a reply is required, and whether withdrawal deletes an already copied file. Any systematic misconception blocks the handoff design even if the mechanics function perfectly.
# Round 08 — Godz 3 actual review

F-R08-01 proposed local consent contract: sender previews selected fictional artifact, minimal attached evidence, attribution, and permitted reuse; recipient can inspect metadata without importing or accepting. Import creates an independent recipient branch and never overwrites an occupied life without its own explicit choice. Reject incompatible content without silent degradation that changes the artifact's claimed capability.

Receipt is a second voluntary export, not telemetry. Recipient sees exact selected outcome and destination, then sends or keeps private. No default leak of opened/declined/used status, unanswered reminders, public gratitude count, reward for reply, or sender right to view recipient history. Both parties can complete their respective authored experience without the other returning.

Two separate freedoms: decline a handoff, and accept/use it without further social obligation. If the fictional instrument is consumed in an encounter, explain consumption before action; do not confuse fictional use cost with sending a real-world reply.

Local-file revocation boundary: stop future sharing of originals under our control, but do not promise remote deletion of already exported independent copies. Keep private material out before export. Permitted reuse needs understandable scope; cannot solve another person's privacy with the sender's checkbox.

Minimal test uses turn-taking/private export preview. Inspect package contents against preview, decline each stage, use without return, quit before and after export, and attempt importing twice. Stable import identity prevents accidental duplication in one branch without forbidding intentional separate replay. Test does not prove secure online identity or global deletion.

Peer critique: prefer Godz2 two practical permission choices. GodzI inspect-only that allows gameplay is mislabeled; Godz4 use-but-not-retain-branch conflicts saved progression/localbackup. Preview is separate action, not a restrictive gameplay license. Clarify my earlier 'import creates independent branch': preserve creator timeline and import into recipient's chosen eligible branch, not necessarily consume a new save slot each item. Never merge into active save before preview. No official-access revocation promise in local G2. Attribution uses chosen pseudonym; don't copy invented Zan or fixed Becoming branding. Instructions inside imported text stay content; no execution/network fetching. Thirdparty/private contributions cannot be relicensed by one sender.
