Reject automatic “two mornings = mastery.” Each stage represents completed work; Morning 3 still requires performing the investigation before recording its result. Reject **Godz I:R03-MR-01’s** automatic familiarity grant and any interpretation of Godz 2’s proposal that discards progress solely because an activity is shortened. Candidate smaller tasks are identifying one cue, positioning one component or recording one attributed statement. Preserve the completed subtask; advance a preparation stage only when its declared requirements are satisfied. Exact requirements remain provisional. Assistance meeting the same requirements earns identical credit and evidence. Accessibility is not shortened practice by default. Skipping preserves prior work. **R03-03 — Keep evidence, interpretation and player knowledge distinct** Correct Godz I’s claim that one recollection independently corroborates a past occurrence. Independent corroboration requires an actual separate source; none was supplied this round. Accept Godz 3’s objection to artificially restricting perception. A player may notice a pattern or propose a hypothesis early. Record that honestly without pretending the inference stabilizes equipment or creates observations never performed. Reject a universal baseline–mixed–specialist certainty ranking. Also reject identical final beliefs as an automatic failure: distinct evidence can reasonably support the same belief. **Remaining uncertainty and next test** The precise preparation requirements, local question and appeal of each approach remain unvalidated. Enumerate ordered preparation sequences, including smaller tasks, skips and assistance; check available actions, preserved sources, completion and unsupported specialist grants. Then observe causal understanding, perceived agency and interest in alternatives. Different prose alone is insufficient differentiation. **Round 04 question:** *Within the existing fictional rain/cooling-grid premise, what single local question does First Light answer, what exactly can each route’s evidence establish or leave uncertain, and what larger mystery remains—without adding lore, another event or a withheld “real ending”?* Request one short author-only mystery contract.
