# First Light · editing brief

Stable ID: first-light-concept-v01. Preserve this existing identifier; future revisions record their base instead of silently renaming it.

## Purpose

An exploratory view of a humane future made by hand: a warm artist's room, sheltered terrace, cool rain, misty landscape and a neighbor with human presence.

## Editable source

`source/image.png` is the full-color original PNG. The website's monochrome treatment is presentation only. No layered file, 3D scene, exact original prompt or original model identifier was archived. Those fields are unknown; do not invent provenance.

`references/art-direction.md` contains the published design proposal. It provides context rather than claiming this image is a locked target.

## Preserve and reconcile

- Maintain warm craft materials, cool exterior depth, comfortable human scale and the relationship between room, terrace and neighbor.
- Keep three clear depth layers and readable silhouettes. Do not hide interaction areas in bloom, mist or depth of field.
- The distant circular effect in the original is unresolved and needs reconciliation with the subtler grid premise. It is not a mandatory feature to reproduce.
- The concept is not a measured floor plan, a final character design or a gameplay screenshot.
- Keep the same scene identity during edits. A new image is a candidate, not automatic approval of a new world direction.

## Make a revision

1. Verify originals with `python3 asset.py verify`.
2. Inspect the full-color PNG and the art-direction document.
3. Edit the PNG with an image editor or an explicitly authorized image-generation tool. Provide the original as a reference and specify only the intended changes.
4. Save `candidate-02/image.png`. Include the exact new prompt in `candidate-02/prompt.txt` if applicable and a short `candidate-02/review.md` describing comparisons with the original.
5. Run `python3 asset.py revision --candidate candidate-02 --summary "Describe the actual change" --tool "Name the editor used"`. Supply `--model` only when known.
6. Return the candidate directory with `revision.json` through the studio workflow in AGENTS.md.

The helper validates the revision record and basic PNG identification. Human-scale composition, material consistency and beauty require visual review. No image API is connected by this archive.
